Uber Technologies, Inc
Uber in the news: 🗞️
The ride sharing company has been in the news with some exciting announcements. In a push towards sustainability and electric vehicles, customers will now be able to order a ride from fully electric vehicles only. Uber is also launching a programme to answer any its drivers’ questions about electric vehicles. This is two-pronged, through its EV Mentor scheme which will put them in contact with experienced owners of EVs, as well as a chatbot which will go live next year, giving advice on EV vehicles.
Perhaps most interestingly, Uber shared on 4th October that it had partnered with another autonomous vehicle company, Avride. At first Avride will handle some Uber Eats delivery work, with robotaxis projected to launch next year. Uber has also established similar partnerships with Serve Robotics and Waymo.
How hot is this investment opportunity? 🔥🔥🔥
Analysts predict the price of Uber Technologies, Inc. will increase from $77.55 to $85.66 in the next 12 months. If you invested $1000, you might profit $100.06.
The price of Uber stock has gone up 66.49% in the past year and some analysts feel that it is strongly positioned to see further growth. The company has 150 million users who use the app to order food deliveries or taxi rides at least once a month, and it has a market cap of $150.343 billion.
Straits Research said back in April of this year that the global robotaxis market might be worth USD 107,682.14 million by 2031. Uber’s strategic partnerships might give the company a great opportunity to ride the robotaxi wave. Doug Anmuth, an analyst from JPMorgan, said this month that Uber is “well positioned in [the] AV ecosystem” despite competition, especially from Tesla. Let’s wait and see what happens at the Tesla robotaxi announcement event later today…
