Nvidia Is The World’s Most Valuable Company | Nemo

Name of opportunity: 👀

Nvidia

Going to the top: 🔝

The computer chip manufacturer Nvidia, one of the stand out successes of the AI boom, has become the world’s most valuable company, with the highest market capitalization of any company. The market value now stands at around US$3.3 trillion.

How hot is this investment opportunity? 🔥🔥🔥

Nvidia is now worth more than the entire stock market in the UK or France. Some analysts say the company might struggle to maintain its large market share given how many competitors are emerging (including major names like Intel and AMD as well as Broadcom, which we covered recently on Hot Stocks). Some analysts are also calling Nvidia overbought - this doesn’t mean the company is financially unsuccessful, only that there are not enough shares to go round between investors.

If buyers stop buying Nvidia, the price will drop due to lack of demand. So perhaps potential investors might be wise to bide their time and see what direction Nvidia stock seems to be going in. Indeed, as the screenshot from our app shows, analysts predict overall that Nvidia might drop in value by 9.23% in the next 12 months, reaching an average target price of $123.07. As it has risen in such an extreme way, analysts imagine that now it will sink. Another reason for this is that analysts predict demand will slow. Some analysts have noted that Nvidia would have to grow by 70% year on year in order to maintain its stock value - a growth that they think is simply not sustainable.

Among AI industry’s brightest stars: 🌟

Nvidia designs and supplies graphics processing units (GPUs), which are now very important in the AI field and used for machine learning, after being initially popular for gaming applications. In the 2010s, Nvidia also made gaming hardware, but is no longer concentrating on this area of its business. Nvidia also makes application programming interfaces (APIs) for data science and high-performance computing. The company designs and supplies system on a chip units (SoCs) for the mobile computing and automotive market.
