Las Vegas Sands Expanding - On The Up | Nemo

Las Vegas Sands is headquartered in the US but the company’s resorts are located in Singapore and in Macau.

Sands has just announced that it will be investing $8 billion in its Marina Sands Bay resort in Singapore (pictured above). This will fund an extensive renovation with a fourth tower containing new gaming areas and 570 luxury suites - a sign of confidence from the company that it can draw in the crowds to this high end resort. Building is estimated to be completed in 2030.

Las Vegas Sands has already increased in price by 1% today. Analysts predict the price of Las Vegas Sands Corp. will increase from $53.04 to $62.19 in the next 12 months. If you invested $1000, you might profit $164.14.

Sands has announced an increase to its dividend payout to investors - the new annual dividend starting in 2025 will be $1 per share. 

Two of Macau’s locations have also recently been improved. In the Q4 2024 earnings, Sands announced that The Londoner now has 300 more hotel rooms, with more coming next year. The Venetian’s events arena will also be re-opening soon in November, with seats for thousands of people to enjoy concerts, sporting events, as well as providing space for conferences and trade shows. 

Although Sands is still recovering from the impact of the pandemic, its Macau locations may have profited from Golden Week, one of China’s busiest tourism seasons. Tourists from other regions in China have been making their way to Macau’s resorts, five of which are owned by Sands. According to the Macau Tourist Office, there were 917,500 visitors during the first six days of Golden Week.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. is a global developer of destination properties (Integrated Resorts). It has five locations in Macau and one in Singapore. The integrated resorts feature accommodations, gaming, entertainment and retail malls, convention and exhibition facilities, celebrity chef restaurants, and other amenities. Other amenities include luxury accommodations, restaurants, lounges, invitation-only clubs and private gaming salons.
