Nvidia Dipped After Earnings - Might Rise | Nemo

Name of opportunity: 👀

Nvidia Corporation

Zig zag: ⚡

Since sharing its earnings report on Wednesday, Nvidia’s stock has shown some volatility. The company shared revenue of $35.1bn, almost double the revenue in the same period last year. Nvidia’s earnings per share of $0.81 also beat estimates. So why did the stock dip initially?

Some writers have speculated that it could be because investors’ expectations of Nvidia are so high that even quarterly earnings that show profit and growth might not be enough, with investors perhaps buying in the run up to the report and selling shares afterwards. It might also have been a response to Nvidia’s prediction of 7% quarter-over-quarter sales growth, which would be low for the company.

How hot is this investment opportunity? 🔥🔥🔥

Right now, analysts predict the price of Nvidia will increase from $142.35 to $149.64 in the next 12 months. If you invested $1000, you might profit $38.51.

One reason for this is the fact that the stock is currently down from $148.18, a price it hit earlier in the week - so just by recovering from this dip it would already nearly be at the target price. Analysts are overall impressed by the company’s quarterly earnings. Analysts at AJ Bell said “a small decline in margins is not a reason to panic” in response to the company’s drop in gross margins as well its prediction for more of the same in the quarter to come.

Nvidia is currently seeing high sales of the company’s AI chips, with CEO Jensen Huang saying: “We will deliver this quarter more Blackwells than we had previously estimated.” Blackwell is the company’s newest chip designed to help computers work faster to meet the demands of AI tasks.

The world’s biggest company by market cap: 🌐

Nvidia accelerates computing to help solve the computational problems. The semiconductor and software company is currently the largest company in the world based on market capitalization, at $3.49 trillion.
