Q1 guidance worries investors: 📝

Amazon stock has dropped by 2.82% after releasing its Q4 report. While the company’s earnings beat estimates, Amazon’s guidance for the first quarter of the new financial year has got investors selling their stock. The company predicted Q1 revenue between $151 billion and $155 billion - but Wall Street was looking for a figure of $158 billion.

How hot is this investment opportunity? 🔥🔥🔥

Although the stock price has fallen, this stock is still considered a ‘buy’ - in fact it’s nearly a ‘strong buy’.

Analysts predict the price of Amazon.com Inc. might increase from $229.08 to $242.67 in the next 12 months. If you invested $1000, you might profit $45.55.

Here are a couple of reasons why Amazon might still be an appealing buy. Despite the Q1 guidance, other aspects of Amazon’s Q4 results looked better to analysts, with earnings per share of $1.86 on revenue of $187.7 billion. This beats the estimates of earnings per share of $1.50 on revenue of $187.3 billion.

And the Q4 results showed that the giant’s quarterly revenue may have overtaken Walmart for the first time, with Amazon bringing in $187.8, which is 10% up year on year. Walmart’s Q4 earnings, released later this month, are expected to show revenue of $180 billion.

17% of Amazon's revenue comes from the hugely popular AWS cloud computing services. While its growth has slowed recently, it remains a key player in the market and will release its next generation AI chip Trainium3 later this year.
